Urban K-Life hires African American, Christian athletes to be part of their team. They work inside public high schools daily, assisting teachers and administrators in any way possible in order to connect with kids and speak positive messages and encouragement into their lives. The team takes official coaching positions after school on sports teams, further pouring into the lives of students and their families. These relationships have consistently raised attendance rates and lowered violent incidence of students in this population. It has also increased the number of students continuing on successfully to post-secondary education.
